BIOGRAPHY

Vocal Coach to Star Academy France & the Paris Opera

Adeline Toniutti is one of France's most recognised vocal coaches. Since 2022, she has been the singing teacher on Star Academy France (TF1), the country's flagship music TV show, where she has trained the careers of Pierre Garnier (winner 2024), Helena Bailly, and dozens of other artists. In parallel, she works at the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris (Paris Opera Academy), coaching professional singers at the highest international level.

A musician by training, Adeline began studying lyric singing at the age of 15 and was an opera singer for 10 years. Her career came to a brutal halt following an accident that burned her airways and seriously injured her vocal cords. Nearly mute, she spent years in rehabilitation, working on every aspect of her vocal apparatus and developing an extremely precise technique that allowed her to regain her voice — and to give others theirs back.

Drawing on this experience, Adeline founded CALYP — Paris Lyric Art Centre, a vocal academy that brings together coaches, ENT surgeons, phoniatricians, speech therapists and psychiatrists around a single mission: serving the voice. She is today a vocal coach for both lyric and pop artists, shares masterclasses with Mariella Devia (queen of Bel Canto), and organises each year an international voice symposium gathering 26 medical specialists, with whom she co-wrote her method Anatomy of Singing (Hachette/Marabout, 2021).

In September 2025, she published her second reference book, La Bonne Voix (Éditions Leduc), dedicated to the spoken voice and public speaking. Her autobiographical book Incandescente pour Toujours (Éditions du Rocher) was released in April 2024.

STAR ACADEMY FRANCE — TF1

Singing Teacher on Star Academy France (TF1) since 2022

Adeline Toniutti has been the vocal coach of Star Academy France on TF1 since the show's 2022 reboot. As the lead singing teacher of the legendary "château" (the academy's residential campus), she works daily with the students, runs vocal warm-ups, prepares them for the live shows, and mentors them through the emotional intensity of prime-time television.

Her working method combines unfailing energy, strong pedagogy, very high standards, and a deep determination to bring out the best in each student. Her teaching draws on the synergies between voice work, body work, mental work, and the relationship with music and the stage — the same principles that anchor her book Anatomy of Singing.

During Star Academy 2023, a season that launched the careers of Pierre Garnier (winner 2024) and Helena Bailly, Adeline invited prestigious guests to the castle, including Vitaa, Woodkid, Michèle Laroque, Claudia Tagbo, Véronique Dicaire, singers from the Paris Opera, and Celtic music artists. In October 2024 she returned to the Star Academy stage as a performer herself, singing the duet The Prayer (Céline Dion / Andrea Bocelli) with Vincent Niclo.
