Rémy Charlet is an accompanying pianist, a versatile musician whose career sits at the crossroads of stage, studio and screen. Trained at the Conservatoire de Lille, he continued his studies at the Jazz Conservatoire of Tourcoing and the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood. Holder of the French Diplôme d'État in contemporary music and a Film Scoring graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, he developed an open musical identity spanning pop, classical and jazz.

Drawn early to teaching, he has always been committed to passing on the knowledge he received — an approach he continues to this day at CALYP.

His career as an accompanist has taken him to the most demanding stages in French music and entertainment. He collaborates with numerous artists and productions: Stéphane, Les Frangines, Christelle Chollet, Kids United, Danse avec les stars (the French Dancing with the Stars). He can also be seen regularly on television: Taratata, Vendredi tout est permis, Vivement dimanche, C à vous, the Téléthon, Un dimanche à la campagne

He notably accompanies Slimane, performing with him at international concerts, as well as Lara Fabian for private concerts and TV and radio appearances.

In 2020, he co-founded Studio Nouvel, a music production studio based in Paris, enabling collaborations with labels such as Warner and Universal.

Influenced by pianists such as Kenny Kirkland, Eric Legnini, Benoît Sourisse, Greg Phillinganes and Larry Goldings, Rémy has developed an approach that is both sensitive and demanding. His relationship with music is deeply human-centred: to accompany, support and showcase the artist.

His teaching philosophy is built on listening, musicality and developing personal expression, adapting to each individual to bring out their full potential.

"I particularly enjoy collaborating with Adeline for her teaching approach, her attentiveness and her ability to support the vocal and artistic development of every singer."
Adeline Toniutti
